A Friendly Christian Sports Program For Kids in the Twin Cities
Minnesota Family Hockey (and Soccer) Association provides opportunities for youth in the Twin Cities metro area to enjoy great sports in a recreational environment. We began as a youth hockey program, primarily for homeschoolers since our programs were offered during the school day. Soccer is a recent addition to our line-up, and we hope to at least share information about other Christian youth sports programs in the Twin Cities metro area. Click on the links above for more information.
MinnesotaThis is self explanatory. We are based in Minnesota. Home of 10,000 lakes. We like them frozen, with thick, clear ice. Home of lots of outdoor, neighborhood ice rinks. And many indoor rinks. What a blessing!
Our programs take place in the Twin Cities. More specifically, we tend to focus programs around the SW metro area, but we draw families from all over the metro area. | FamilyOur programs are intended to be low key, family friendly and church friendly. In our arena, it's about fun and fellowship as much as hearty competition. We began as a homeschool program, with offerings during the school day for homeschooled kids. But we open the doors of fellowship wide to anyone who wishes to have fun with us.
| HockeySpeed. Power. Agility. Creativity. Collaboration. Synergy. It sounds like a fancy ad, but it's simply the game of ice hockey. There is no game like it on earth. Yes, it's challenging, but it's awesome, and it's the sport upon which MFHA was built.
SoccerThe beautiful game. A world-wide passion. It seems so simple...grab a ball, some cleats, and off you go...but the more you play, the more you realize it's, well, complex. MFHA is new to this realm, but we love the game, and hope to add more offerings for soccer lovers.
| AssociationWe are a relatively informal organization. We are not a business or a 501(c)3 organization. We are just a group of families that gather together to enjoy activities.
We are a Christian organization, but we are not affiliated with a specific Church. We affirm that the Word of God, which is contained in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, is the only rule to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy God. We believe the Apostle's Creed summarizes the articles of faith that are necessary for a Christian to believe. |
